Biographical Statement
Dr. Soares is Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at University of Michigan Medical School and a board-certified Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo. He received his medical education at University of Bombay, India and completed residency in Pediatrics at University of Illinois at Chicago Hospitals and fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at University of Maryland, Baltimore. He has 74 peer-reviewed publications, has been awarded numerous research grants and held leadership positions in the American Academy of Pediatrics and Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. He is appointed by the Governor of Michigan to serve on the Michigan Autism Council.

Care Philosophy
I seek to improve access to care for families of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. I intend to achieve this by using efficient, evidence-based practices and leveraging telehealth.
Research Interests
Dr. Soares' main themes of research include partnering with interdisciplinary professionals to advance the science of diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism.
