Mary Jane “MJ” Vogt serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Henry Ford Health, leading the organization’s philanthropic strategy and fundraising efforts for the nonprofit health system. In this role, she oversees campaign strategy, major and principal gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, development operations, special events and community sponsorships. She leads a high-performing team dedicated to delivering an exceptional donor experience and advancing transformative opportunities at Henry Ford Health. Additionally, MJ oversees Henry Ford’s fundraising efforts for Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences to advance the goals of the partnership, including innovation and research.

Under MJ’s leadership, philanthropy has reached unprecedented levels of success. Since 2023, Henry Ford Health has achieved record-setting fundraising results, generating over $100 million annually to accelerate innovation, expand access to care and strengthen community health initiatives. She leads Rising Above and Reaching Beyond: The Campaign for Henry Ford Health, which is nearing its ambitious $750 million goal, positioning the organization to make lasting investments in patient care, research, education and community impact.

Since joining Henry Ford Health in 1997, MJ has earned distinction for her leadership, fundraising expertise, strategic planning and operational excellence. She is credited with modernizing the employee and physician giving program, earning national recognition for its success. She expanded and diversified the organization’s donor base, co-led the second largest fundraising campaign in Henry Ford Health’s history, Envision, and drove a 250% increase in major gift giving.

An active community leader, MJ serves on the boards of Brilliant Detroit, City Year Detroit and Sparky Anderson’s CATCH Charity for Children.

MJ earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree from Michigan State University.
