Meet the Internship Director

Michelle Gilleran, PhD, MS, RDN

Dr. Gilleran is the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Dietetic Internship director at Henry Ford Health. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and has extensive experience leading clinical nutrition services, advancing quality and performance initiatives, and partnering closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. She has a passion for leading nutrition research projects, higher level education and curriculum development, and clinical and community nutrition initiatives. She has served as the Public Policy Director and Co-Policy State Representative for the Michigan Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MiAND). The passion she has for helping patients with incorporating wellness and nutrition into their life, is also seen in her desire to ensure communities have access to safe and affordable food by serving on the MiAND Food Security Task Force. As the dietetic internship director, her goal is to not only educate students on how to become credible clinicians, but also to be strong leaders in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
