Educational Mission

1. Define a core knowledge base in colon and rectal surgery.
2. Impart knowledge through a multitude of fora that include didactics, case presentations, tumor board, staff teaching rounds, staff-to-fellow interactions in the outpatient clinics, a variety of communication media, and operative supervision.
3. Assist fellow in the process of developing their personal character and professional demeanor as defined by ones’ patients and peers.
4. Provide feedback to each house officer regarding the extent to which these goals are achieved.
