Research and Publications by Residents

  • All residents will have dedicated research time (6 months) to participate in research of their choice. With program director approval, residents may also choose to use this time for dedicated work in non-clinical, non-research-related work related to radiation oncology (such as global health or advocacy for underserved minorities).
  • Department is actively involved in NRG and other national clinical protocols, complemented by many in-house protocols with active resident participation
  • Department has recognized investigators in the fields of medical physics, classic radiobiology and molecular biology who can provide our residents with valuable support and guidance in basic science research
  • Residents in our program have consistently won hospital and state resident research competitions and published in both clinical and basic science journals
