Wellness Resources
As nurses, we often find ourselves putting the needs of others first, whether it be our patients, colleagues, friends or family. However, it is essential that we remember to pause and take time for our personal well-being so that we can continue to be there for others. Henry Ford Hospital provides several wellness resources to help support our nursing staff.
Well-being index
An essential part of self-care is focusing on your mental health. The Nurse Well-Being Index (WBI) is a tool to help you assess your well-being and provides you immediate individualized feedback with resources. The assessment is completely anonymous and confidential.
TRUST Program
A confidential nurse to nurse peer support program, the HFH Nursing TRUST Program aims to provide support to nurses following an event that has left a colleague emotionally raw, or when a colleague is feeling generally over whelmed and in need of support. TRUST stands for Treatment that is just, Respect, Understanding and compassion, Supportive care, and Transparency and the opportunity to contribute.
Recharge rooms
Henry Ford Hospital's Recharge Rooms were developed to help reduce stress and anxiety and provide for better overall mental health. All team members can take 10-15 minutes to experience a moment of calm with the sights and sounds of natural, restorative environments.
