Vision Restoration

There are a number of vision restoration techniques currently under research and development. At this time, most of these interventions are in early stages, with limited or no patient testing, but all have showed promise for improving visual function for people who are blind or profoundly vision impaired. Further information about these interventions are provided on the left.

It is the hope of the Artificial Vision Research Consortium that in the future all vision restoration intervention studies will abide by similar guidelines, principles and testing strategies, such that comparisons between techniques are possible.
