Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe Pierson Building is Reopening in 2025

We’re excited to welcome you back! As you may know, Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe consists of two buildings: Pierson and Cottage. While the Pierson building was closed for renovations the past few years due to fire, the Cottage building remained open to serve our patients—and continues to do so.

Ophthalmology Updates

Henry Ford Ophthalmology – Grosse Pointe is relocating to the Henry Ford Medical Center - Grosse Pointe,  Pierson Building. The first patients will be seen at the new location starting Monday, August 25. Patients with appointments before August 25 will continue to be seen at the current location.

Patients visiting the Pierson Building should park on the first floor of the parking structure, on the street, or in nearby parking lots. Please note that all street and lot parking is metered. Building entrances are only accessible at ground level, at the front and rear of the Pierson Building.

Additional Updates:

• The pharmacy at the Pierson Building is now open to serve you.
• As additional services become available at this location, we’ll update this page and communicate with our valued patients.
• Your medical records in MyChart seamlessly follow you wherever you receive care.
• If you need to find a provider or a specialty that may have moved to another location, visit our Find a Doctor tool.
• Your care remains our top priority, and we’re committed to making this transition smooth and easy.
