Ayad H Alkhatib, MD

Biographical Statement

Dr. Ayad H. Alkhatib is a board-certified rheumatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal diseases. He provides comprehensive care for patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, psoriatic arthritis, gout and other connective tissue disorders. His clinical approach emphasizes individualized treatment plans that combine the latest evidence-based therapies with a focus on improving long-term function and quality of life.

Dr. Alkhatib earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in the management of complex medical conditions. He then pursued fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, gaining advanced expertise in autoimmune diseases, immunology and the use of biologic therapies for rheumatic disorders.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Alkhatib has contributed to research focused on autoimmune disease, inflammatory arthritis and quality improvement initiatives in rheumatology. His work has explored clinical outcomes, patient-centered care and strategies to improve the diagnosis and management of complex rheumatic diseases. Through both patient care and scholarly activity, he is committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Dr. Ayad Alkhatib is approved as a licensed telemedicine provider in both the states of Michigan and Florida.
