Biographical Statement

I practice Pediatric Cardiology and treat lipid disorders in adults and children with Henry Ford Health in Detroit. I have been with Henry Ford St. John (Children's) Hospital in Detroit since 2009. I am the director of the Pediatric Residency Program at Henry Ford St. John Hospital and the director of Pediatric Cardiology and the Pediatric and Adult Lipid Clinics at the hospital.  I volunteer with the Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation and have been doing free teen heart screens since 2023.

I earned my medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2002 and completed a combined residency in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University. I am board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics and in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. I earned a Master of Business Administration from Walsh College and a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
