Biographical Statement

Dr. John J. Blase is a board-certified radiologist and neuroradiologist specializing in emergency radiology and advanced neuroimaging. He provides expert interpretation of imaging studies for patients with acute neurological conditions, traumatic injuries and other emergent medical concerns, helping guide timely diagnosis and treatment decisions across a wide range of clinical settings.

Dr. Blase earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed both his diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. He has been affiliated with Henry Ford Health since 2004 and has developed extensive expertise in neuroradiology, emergency imaging and the use of advanced imaging techniques to support patient care.

As the former division head of Emergency Radiology, Dr. Blase lead efforts to provide high-quality, around-the-clock imaging services for emergency and inpatient care — working closely with emergency physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons and trauma teams to ensure rapid and accurate diagnostic interpretation for critically ill and injured patients.
