Biographical Statement
Dr. Daniel C. Morris is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Henry Ford Health with specialized expertise in neurorestorative therapy and stroke care. As a senior staff physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, one of Michigan's busiest and most comprehensive emergency departments, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that improves both functional outcomes and quality of life for his patients.
Dr. Morris earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed his residency training in emergency medicine at Sparrow Hospital through Michigan State University. He further advanced his training through a fellowship in emergency medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Morris has contributed to research focused on stroke, neurorestorative therapies, emergency neurological care and the translation of innovative treatments into clinical practice. His work has explored strategies to improve recovery and functional outcomes for patients with neurologic injury and stroke. His research accomplishments have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine's Young Investigator Award, the Scholarly Sabbatical Award and the Weatherby Research Fellowship Award.
