Biographical Statement

I am a board certified family nurse practitioner and have worked in the adolescent and school based health field for over 20 years. I have special interest and experience in skill building for teens, particularly using yoga and mindfulness to improve health. It is a privilege and a joy to work with families and their children.

I am also an associate professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, teaching in the graduate nursing program.

Providers at Henry Ford’s School-Based Health locations provide primary care and behavioral health services to children ages 5-21, regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. School-Based Health clinics are located within more than a dozen schools in Wayne and Macomb counties. These school-based clinics provide care to area youth while schools are in session as well as during the summer break when schools are closed.
