Biographical Statement
Dr. Gassan S. Shahin is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and neuroradiologist specializing in advanced imaging of the brain, spine, head and neck, and nervous system. He provides expert interpretation of complex imaging studies that support the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, cerebrovascular disease, tumors, trauma and other conditions affecting the central nervous system and head and neck.
Dr. Shahin earned his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Wayne State University before pursuing a residency in diagnostic radiology. He further specialized through a fellowship in neuroradiology at Henry Ford Hospital, where he developed expertise in advanced neuroimaging techniques and the evaluation of neurologic disease.
Drawing on a unique multidisciplinary background that spans internal medicine, critical care and radiology, Dr. Shahin collaborates closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons and other specialists to provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging that supports high-quality patient care.
