About Me
Biographical Statement
Dr. Sarah Tarnowsky is a family medicine physician working at Henry Ford Medical Center - Harbortown and as a member of the family medicine residency program faculty. She loves family medicine because the relationships she's developed with her patients and their families. She grew up in the metro-Detroit area, went to Michigan State University and graduated with Bachelor of Science in psychology. She attended medical school at Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at PCC Community Wellness Center at West Suburban in Chicago, IL. Dr. Tarnowsky then completed fellowship in Community Medicine at PCC Wellness and completed her master's in public health at University of Illinois-Chicago, focusing on health policy and administration.
Dr. Tarnowsky has a passion for caring for the whole patient, health and wellness promotion, addressing health disparities and serving vulnerable communities or populations in need. Her additional areas of focus include preventative medicine, women's health and substance use disorder care. She believes family medicine providers have a special opportunity to partner with their communities to improve overall health, address health disparities and make positive change.
