About Me
Biographical statement
Dr. Thind is Division Head of Physics and Vice Chair of Academics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Health. His research interests center on the translation of new technology into radiation oncology to improve cancer care. This work spans MRI for treatment simulation and guidance, online adaptive radiotherapy and artificial intelligence applied to medical images and clinical text, all aimed at improving efficiency and efficacy in radiation oncology workflows and supporting better outcomes for patients.
He has received multiple grants in support of this work and has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications, conference proceedings, and invited talks at national and international venues. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at Wayne State University and Michigan State University, serves in editorial roles at peer-reviewed medical physics journals, and contributes to many national and international committees including those of AAPM and ASTRO. He is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine.
