About Me
Biographical Statement
I have been a member of the HFAH Neurosurgery Team since 2019 and in that time, I have been directly involved with preoperative evaluations, postoperative care, assisting intraoperatively and performing bedside procedures appropriate and relevant to a Neurosurgical context. I am qualified and cleared to perform lumbar punctures, lumbar drain placement, subdural evacuation portal system (SEPS) drain placement, intracranial pressure monitoring bolt placement and external ventricular drain (EVD) placement.
As a member of the Neurosurgery team, I take great pride in helping people to overcome acute, chronic and, in some cases, debilitating Neurological deficits. Our team deals with a wide variety of intracranial and spine pathologies. I have background Education in a variety of contexts that has proven very useful in the context of Neurosurgery. It's important that patients have a good understanding of what problems they are struggling with and what role, if any, surgery has in the management of those problems. My background has positioned me well to be an effective communicator in the context of very serious illness or disease.
