About Me
Biographical Statement
Dr. Vanderziel completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Oakland University. She then received her MS in epidemiology, followed by the completion of a one-year T32-funded fellowship in psychiatric epidemiology at Michigan State University. Dr. Vanderziel also earned her PhD in epidemiology from MSU before joining the Center for Healthcare Improvement at Henry Ford Health in April 2023. She has served as PI or Co-I on several federal, foundation and internal grants.

Research Interests
- Understanding the effects of prenatal cannabis use on maternal and infant health
- Intervening on cannabis use during the perinatal period. Dr. Vanderziel received a Mentored Research Scientist Development Award from NIH/NIDA (K01DA064938) to co-develop and test a digital intervention, alongside patient advisors, to reduce cannabis use in pregnancy.
