About Me
Biographical Statement
Dr. Hsueh-Han Yeh received her Master's degree in Statistics and PhD in Epidemiology from Michigan State University. Her multidisciplinary background (mathematics, statistics, and epidemiology) offers her the unique opportunity to become a researcher in data science and epidemiological research. She is particularly interested in developing and applying statistical methods in the domains of suicide prevention, substance use and mental health disorders, and precision medicine. Her primary research interests broadly focus on the disparities in health care and social determinants of health that influence the prevalence and incidence of suicide; and exploring the opportunities to prevent suicide and reduce substance misuse and associated harms, especially among younger populations. Dr. Yeh has more than 10 years of research experience as a statistician and epidemiologist, working with electronic health records, insurance claims data, other clinical research data, and survey data. She also serves as statistician on several NIH-funded and other health-related projects and provides statistical expertise to support study design and analysis.
