Allergy and Immunology

Our allergists are here to help you find relief

Allergies and related conditions can seriously impact your quality of life or the life of a loved one – but they don’t have to. If you are experiencing symptoms and think you may have allergies or a related condition, an allergist can help you determine the cause of your symptoms and find relief.

Allergy conditions we treat

Your Henry Ford allergist is trained to evaluate and treat a wide range of allergies, including those triggered by seasonal changes, food or pet dander, with advanced treatment plans developed for your specific condition.

Allergy treatment options

Your Henry Ford allergist can recommend many treatments to help manage your allergies, including tips for how to avoid allergens, nasal sprays to control nasal symptoms of allergies, oral antihistamines, eye drops and allergy shots (also known as allergy desensitization injections). An allergy assessment often begins with a simple skin test to determine what allergens may be causing the symptoms. For those patients who suffer from asthma or an immune disorder, additional assessments may be required.
