A demanding schedule of practice and performances produce a variety of cramps, strains and even injuries that put you in the wings for an extended period. Henry Ford experts in Physical Medicine, Neurology, Orthopedics and Physical Therapy specialize in treating instrumental musicians. Some of our doctors even play a number of instruments, giving them a personal understanding of your needs. Most injuries we see are treated with medication and therapy, but if necessary Neurologists and Surgical Specialists are standing by to help you get back on stage.
Our staff psychologist understands stage fright, and can expertly help you through this challenge suffered by as many as a quarter of all performing musicians.
