Construction Updates

At Henry Ford, we’re committed to making sure that any visit to one of our locations is as welcoming and convenient as possible. When we’re making needed improvements to any of our facilities, we do our best to minimize any impact on our patients and visitors.

Please note the following construction updates currently underway and plan accordingly for your next appointment:

Henry Ford Medical Center - Fairlane Entrance opening The EAST entrance of Fairlane Medical Center has been reopened. The entrance has been closed for the previous 2+ years, but it is now open during normal clinic/pharmacy business hours.

Henry Ford Medical Center - Farmington Road Construction on various roads There are a number of road construction projects in the area of Henry Ford Medical Center – Farmington Road. Please plan for extra driving time in order to arrive to your appointment on time.

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Parking Construction
  •  In July, we will begin construction on a parking structure on our campus. This project will last approximately one year.
  • Due to the construction, which will temporarily eliminate a number of parking spots, parking on our campus may be limited.
  • Please allow yourself extra time when coming to HFWBH for appointments/surgery/procedures to ensure safe parking and on-time arrival.
  • As the project progresses, entrance and exit flows on campus will change. Directional signs will be posted, please follow as posted. Our security team will also be assisting with traffic flow.
  • Our number one priority is your safety and the safety of our team members. We realize you may experience frustration due to the construction, but we ask that everyone stay calm and observe traffic rules when on campus.
  • Valet parking will continue to be available throughout construction.

Henry Ford Medical Center - Royal Oak Road construction There is road construction on S. Main Street (Lincoln to 11 Mile). One lane in each direction will be open to traffic and left hand turns will be prohibited along this half-mile stretch.
