Henry Ford Health Compliance Program

Henry Ford Health is committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of health care delivery. Guided by our values of Compassion, Innovation, Respect and Results, our system-wide Compliance Program, as part of Business Integrity Services, has been developed to assist in understanding and following the laws, regulations, professional standards and ethical commitments applicable to our work. It ensures that payer requirements are adhered to, and that the conduct of our staff, faculty, and entire workforce is aligned with appropriate standards, behaviors and actions, including those outlined in our System Code of Conduct.

We appreciate your ongoing support of our healthcare compliance standards and our commitment to making the right choices.

Your trusted partner

The Compliance Program promotes a culture of integrity and an ethical environment which encourages all Henry Ford Health colleagues and workforce members or Medicare beneficiaries to report, in good faith, any actual or suspected fraud, waste, or insurance abuse, violations of law or regulation. Henry Ford Health prohibits retaliation in any form against any individual reporting issues and concerns in good faith. Retaliation is subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment or termination of participation in business relationships with Henry Ford Health. We do attempt to maintain, within the limits of the law, the confidentiality and identity of individuals reporting issues and concerns.

Key components

The Compliance Program provides all workforce members — including medical staff, vendors and other business partners — with resources to assist them in helping achieve compliance with the highest professional, legal and ethical standards. A Supplier Code of Conduct communicates the minimum standards by which Henry Ford Health vendors are expected to conduct themselves when providing goods or services to our health system. For vendors who are seeking more information, please visit our Vendor Information page.

Other key components of our Compliance Program include education and training, auditing and monitoring of Henry Ford Health business activities, and processes that allow Henry Ford Health workforce members to report issues and concerns so they are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
