The sessions are designed for people of all ages to participate and are guided by an Art Therapist. A new project will be offered every week. Topics covered will focus on self-awareness, support systems, gratitude, and reframing negative thoughts.
NOTE: If no participants join the call/class within 20 minutes after the start time, the call/class will end.

The classes will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m.
September 16 and 17: Found Poetry (PDF Templates- Poetry 1 and Poetry 2)
Supplies needed: Found Poetry printed text-2 attachments, pencil, markers or pens
Description: editing text to create a new personal poem / statement
September 23 and 24: Abstract Painting To Music (no template)
Supplies needed: paper, paint and brush
Description: we will create an abstract painting while listening to music
September 30 and October 1: Collage Self Portrait
Supplies needed: paper, scissors, glue stick
Description: create a ‘portrait’ of yourself, your values, your interests, etc.
October 7 and 8: Creative License
Supplies needed: Template, markers, colored pencils, or pens
Description: Where do you need to give yourself permission?
October 14 and 15: Mandala
Supplies needed: template, pencil
Description: create a relaxing symmetrical mandala
October 21 and 22: Watercolor Mood Painting
Supplies needed: watercolor paints, brush, water, watercolor paper or canvas
Description: create an abstract painting imbedded with positivity
October 28 and 29: Web of Connections
Supplies needed: white paper, white crayon, watercolor paints, pen
Description: a colorful way to visualize our connections to others
November 4 and 5: Evolving Abstraction
Supplies needed: paper, magazine image, glue stick, pencil or markers
Description: create a new abstract image from a portion of a magazine image
November 11 and 12: Watercolor Resist
Supplies needed: a leaf, crayons, watercolor paints, watercolor paper or heavy paper
Description: a fun and relaxing exploration of textures and colors
November 18 and 19: Gratitude Explosion
Supplies needed: template, markers or pencils
Description: illustrate all the things you are grateful for
November 25 and 26: NO CLASS
December 2 and 3: Inkblot
Supplies needed: paper, paint (acrylic or watercolor)
Description: create an abstract symmetrical image-let go of expectations
December 9 and 10: Dream Doors
Supplies needed: paper for base, magazine images and/or colorful paper, glue stick
Description: creating a door that opens to your dreams/goals
December 16 and 17: Holding Safely
Supplies needed: template of hands, markers or pencils, optional: printed images, magazine images
Description: What are the important things in your life that you hold safely?
The materials you should have ready for the classes are:
- Paper- which may include any of the following: printer paper, drawing paper, old mail envelopes, paper bags, wrapping paper, etc.
- Colored pencils
- Glue / glue stick
- Magazine (to cut up for collage)
- Pages from an old book (I can provide text to be printed at home for found poetry project)
All of the projects will be completed using items you probably already have on hand. We do not expect you to make large purchases for supplies. The Art Therapist will be able to assist you with modifications to the project with the materials you have.
