Birthing Basics Express - Novi

Help make your birth experience the best possible with comfort and relaxation techniques, birth and intervention information, bonding and breastfeeding.

This is a one-day onsite childbirth class taught by our own labor and delivery nurses. The expectant parent and partner are invited to attend a session to prepare for labor, birth and postpartum.

Topics include:

• Stages of labor and delivery
• Relaxation
• Breathing techniques
• Labor coping skills
• Medical interventions
• Newborns
• Postpartum care
• Tour of Labor and Delivery

Each family will receive an Injoy Understanding Birth Book and WebApp.

Class Notes:

• Feel free to bring some snacks and drinks.
• Please bring 2 pillows and either a blanket or yoga mat with you
• Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for class–both participants will be moving in this class!

Classes will be held at the Heart Institute Entrance, Classroom A, Providence Hospital, Novi Campus. Parking in the Heart Institute lot is free and closest to the classroom.
