Breastfeeding Basics - Novi

This is a one-time onsite Breastfeeding class taught by one of our lactation consultants. The expectant parent and support person are invited to attend. Our educators utilize their experience and knowledge to help you get your best start at breastfeeding. We are dedicated to providing up to date, evidenced-based information. We use videos, graphics, and demonstrations to help you visualize important techniques and cues. You will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the class. A detailed booklet with Web App is provided for your review following class.

Topics include:

• How to latch baby on
• How to tell if baby is getting enough to eat
• How to manage common concerns
• Where to get assistance
• Pumping and returning to work

Classes will be held at the Heart Institute Entrance, Classroom A, Providence Hospital, Novi Campus. Parking in the Heart Institute lot is free and closest to the classroom.
