Breastfeeding Basics - Rochester
This is an onsite Breastfeeding class taught by one of our lactation consultants. The expectant parent and support person are invited to attend. Our educators utilize their experience and knowledge to help you get your best start at breastfeeding. We use videos, graphics, and demonstrations to help you visualize important techniques and cues.
A detailed booklet with WebApp is provided for your review following class.
Topics include:
- How to latch baby on
- How to tell if baby is getting enough to eat
- How to manage common concerns
- Where to get assistance
- Pumping and returning to work
Class will be held at Rochester Hospital (1101 W. University, Rochester, MI 48307) in Conference room 2 North. We recommend parking in the front of the hospital and entering through the main entrance. The information desk can assist you with directions to the conference room.
