MiMind Logo

Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Time: Noon – 1 p.m. ET
Location: Virtual

Join MI Mind for a series of live webinars offered at no cost to physicians, behavioral health clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals interested in the topics.

In this webinar, Laura Seewald, MD will review Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), also known as red flag orders. ERPOs are civil court orders designed to prevent firearm injury and death by temporarily restricting access to firearms for those who are at risk of harming themselves or others. In Michigan, the ERPO law allows healthcare providers (including licensed mental health professionals) to file an ERPO petition. Learn more about the role ERPOs can play in firearm injury prevention, what the ERPO petition process looks like for healthcare providers, and how ERPOs can fit into a clinician's suicide prevention and risk screening toolkit. This webinar is open to anyone interested in the topic. CME and CEU credit is available.
