In this webinar, Laura Seewald, MD will review Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), also known as red flag orders. ERPOs are civil court orders designed to prevent firearm injury and death by temporarily restricting access to firearms for those who are at risk of harming themselves or others. In Michigan, the ERPO law allows healthcare providers (including licensed mental health professionals) to file an ERPO petition.
