Naturalist’s Notebook

Capture the beauty of Michigan’s native flora in this naturalist notebook class. We will enhance an illustration by Glen Arbor based artist Kristen Hurlin. You will learn the art of observation by discovering how to beautifully document native Michigan plans through hands-on creative practice. You will also choose your own creative path by coloring or painting a custom illustration by Kristen Hurland sourced from her book “A Beautiful Place” available through Glen Arbor Artisan Store.

Come enjoy expanding your skills by drawing and sketching your own botanical compositions free hand with pencil & paper, and mixed media by combining pencil, watercolor, pastel pencils, and textiles to bring your notebook pages to life.

All tools and materials are provided. ALL experiences are welcome. The instructor will be on hand to guide and assist as required. Donations to assist our patients are always encouraged and welcome.
