Needle Felting Painting
Needle Felt painting is a technique where a felting needle is used to entangle colored wool fibers into a fabric or felt background, creating a 2-dimensional image. Artists used barbed needles to repeatedly poke wool fibers into a base material which locks the fibers in place to build up the design. This method allows for a variety of colors and textures to be layered, similar to traditional painting, resulting in a "painting" made out of wool fibers. Embroidery can be used to accentuate the painting. Donations are encouraged. The instructor Lynne Paul will demonstrate and guide/assist as required. ALL experiences are welcome. All tools and materials are provided.
