Looking Out, Drawing In

Currently on view at the Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion, Looking Out, Drawing In features ten landscapes painted by Detroit artist Kathleen Rashid in and around the neighborhood where she grew up and continues to live, near Henry Ford Hospital on Grand Boulevard.

Accompanying the exhibition are free, drop-in workshops that invite community and team members to create their own artworks reflecting the landscapes they see, remember, or imagine through their own lens on the world. Selected artworks created in the workshops will be added to the exhibition walls, creating an evolving collection of community perspectives alongside Rashid’s paintings.
Free and open to all. All materials provided. No art-making experience necessary.
