Voices After Violence

Location: Henry Ford St. John Hospital Lower Level Auditorium and Conference Room

There will be raffle prizes and giveaways, as well as snacks and water provided. There will be vendor tables as well as the Stop the Bleed hands on training.

The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, become certified to STOP THE BLEED®️, and feel empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

The course is approx. 60 minutes and will teach three quick actions to stop bleeding and help save a life at home, in the community, or even at work!

Learn how to:

  • How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound
  • How to pack a wound to control bleeding
  • How to correctly apply a tourniquet
  • Recognize life-threatening bleeding and feel empowered to make a life-or-death difference when an emergency happens.

5:20 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.  Introduction of speaker TBD 
5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.  Introduce Stop the Bleed and the
Vendor tables (Open Arm’s and Cease Fire) 
and release for STB training 
6:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Final Raffle drawings (must be present to win prize) and closing
