February is American Heart Month! Experience ways to live a heart-healthy lifestyle at HFH demonstration kitchen. It’s the perfect backdrop to learn from OCC’s resident chef and registered dietician, Dawnmarie Yelcho, as she shares tips and tricks for practicing self-care as it relates to food choices and lifestyle. She’s motivated to show you how easy it can be! Participants will learn how to make a Greek whitefish with a cucumber salsa, lemon dill chicken, Italian lentil burgers, and healthy sides to accompany them! All the items are DASH-friendly and in compliance with a dietary program to prevent high blood pressure. Students will be able to taste all items.
