Arielle Hodari Gupta, MD, FACS is the Associate Chief Quality Officer at Henry Ford Hospital. In this role, she is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership and oversight for quality, safety and regulatory programs. She works closely with Drs. Flannery and Szymanski.
Dr. Gupta is an acute care surgeon specializing in surgical critical care. She serves as the associate program director for the general surgery residency and the medical director of the surgical ICU. In her time at Henry Ford Hospital, she has championed multiple efforts at reducing hospital acquired infections in the ICU and operating room. Dr. Gupta is also the Surgical Quality Officer and led the hospital’s initiative to obtain the American College of Surgery Quality Verification.
Dr. Gupta earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery residency and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Henry Ford Hospital. Currently, Dr. Gupta is a clinical assistant professor at both Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Her leadership and unwavering dedication to quality healthcare makes her an invaluable asset to our leadership team.
