Patrick Irwin is the Vice President of Labor and Employee Relations, as well as Immigration Services, for Henry Ford Health. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of Human Resources for Henry Ford Hospital. In these executive roles, he leads workforce strategy, labor relations, employee relations, and immigration services across the entire health system.

Patrick began his career in human resources with Health Alliance Plan (HAP). After earning a master’s degree in industrial and labor Relations from Wayne State University, he served in employee relations leadership positions at the Detroit Medical Center before joining Henry Ford Health in 1997. Over his tenure, he has advanced through a series of executive positions, helping guide labor strategy, organizational growth, and workforce transformation initiatives across the health system.

A lifelong resident of Southwest Detroit, Patrick is an active community leader and former high school coach. He was named a USA Today Coach of the Year and inducted into the Catholic High School League Hall of Fame for his dedication to youth athletics in Southwest Detroit. Patrick actively serves on the boards of several community organizations, including CHASS Center, Corktown Health Center, Bridging Communities, and the Michigan Hispanic Collaborative (MiHC). He also served as the founding Board President for Caesar Chavez Academy (formerly Aztec Eagle). In 2023, Patrick was honored with the Wayne State University Distinguished Alumni Award.
