Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals partners with The Mall at Partridge Creek to offer several free fitness opportunities throughout the year.
Get Moving Walking Club
You are invited to join the new Get Moving Walking Club for a 24-week walking season with a kickoff on Monday, May 16, at 9 a.m. at Brio Tuscan Grille.
The kickoff includes registration with coffee and breakfast snacks followed by a short program on the importance of exercise by a Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals health educator. Then, join your friends for the first official Get Moving walk around the mall.
Keep the walking and miles going on your own all summer long! Register your mileage at the Customer Service Center at the mall whenever you are walking or shopping. There are markers located on the brick pavers throughout the mall. Good news – one lap around the mall equals one mile!
Group Walks: Join us the 3rd Monday of each month at 9 a.m. for our group walks. We meet at Center Court.
On Monday, October 24, The Mall at Partridge Creek and Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals will celebrate your miles with an event including giveaways provided by the mall, its retail partners and Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals. The celebration will reward walkers in various categories, including most miles walked throughout the season.

Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals offers a fun and free way to workout this summer. The Wellness Wednesday Series returns to the Mall at Partridge Creek starting in June and running through August. For 2016, we start with Zumba and end with yoga. Participants should bring their own yoga mats.
- Run every Wednesday (weather permitting)
- June 1 through Aug. 31
- 9 a.m. - 9:45 a. m.
- Take place in the Mall's Center Court

The health benefits of attending the weekly exercise sessions are hard to ignore. And the benefits of exercise are yours for the taking, regardless of your age, sex or physical ability. Need more convincing to attend? Participants will be awarded with an entry for a monthly raffle each class.
Yoga is a great way to increase your strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Class is performed at a slower pace with the needed modifications so everyone can follow. This class will focus on:
- gentle stretches
Yoga helps with stress relief, strengthens and tones, and increases range of motion of the major joints. Please bring a mat to class.
Zumba is an aerobic fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training and resistance training.
Aerobic exercise reduces health risks, keeps excess pounds at bay, strengthens your heart and boosts your mood.
