Teamsters Technical Bargaining Unit Ratifies Contract with Henry Ford Genesys Hospital
GRAND BLANC, MICH. — Members of the Teamsters Local 332 Technical Unit at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new employment contract.
The unit includes 172 technicians from seven specialties, including emergency medicine, interventional radiology, and labor and delivery – each playing essential roles in patient care. Seventy-nine percent of members who cast ballots voted in favor of the three-year contract. Voting took place June 8 and 9.
The new contract, which includes annual wage increases, is an important milestone for the hospital. It is the second collective bargaining agreement between the hospital and a labor partner since Henry Ford Health assumed operations of Genesys Hospital in October 2024. In August 2025, the hospital reached an agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 3518.
“We are deeply grateful for our team members’ unwavering service throughout contract negotiations. As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering a positive work environment built on collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication,” said interim hospital president Gwen Sandefur. “We’re thrilled to continue to work together to strengthen Henry Ford Genesys Hospital for the future.”
Since Sept. 1, 2025, Henry Ford Health has successfully negotiated eight union contracts, including the contract with the Teamsters technical unit.
