DETROIT — Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) hosted its annual Strategic Summit for providers, leaders and partners. The evening focused on Mosaic CIN's role in Henry Ford Health's high-value strategy and on the relationships that are vital to making clinical integration work. The event was held at Saint John's Resort, Plymouth, Michigan.

Welcome from Bob Riney

Bob Riney, president and CEO of Henry Ford Health, opened the summit by thanking providers, care teams and partners for working across traditional boundaries. He framed affordability as part of the definition of high-value care, alongside quality, access and experience, and he described Mosaic as the platform that brings Henry Ford Health's care delivery system, health plan, population health capabilities and physicians together under one Value-Based Enterprise.

Keynote: The Clinically Integrated Network as the Core of Strategy

Dr. Thomas H. Lee, chief medical officer of Press Ganey, described Mosaic CIN as one of the most well-developed clinically integrated networks in the country, with the potential to lead the nation. He discussed the pressures facing health care, including rising complexity, financial strain, workforce shortages and the rise of AI. He emphasized that trust and social capital are essential to performance, citing data linking stronger employee relationships to better patient experiences, clinical outcomes and safety, as well as shorter hospital stays. He distinguished bonding connections, which drive reliability, from bridging connections, which foster learning and innovation. He characterized Mosaic as Henry Ford Health's "social capital machine," emphasizing that its success should be measured across all dimensions of performance, not just efficiency in value-based contracts.

Network Updates

Dr. Courtland Keteyian, president of Mosaic CIN, reported that Crain's Detroit Business recognized Mosaic ACO and Mosaic CIN as Detroit's two largest physician-led organizations. Looking ahead, the network will serve more than 1 million lives with more than 6,000 providers, including over 800 primary care physicians, across 15 counties in 2027. Key updates included:

Henry Ford Physician Network will be renamed Mosaic Physician Network, a milestone in the phased branding strategy.

The 2027 Enterprise Network Model aligns Mosaic CIN, Mosaic Physician Network, Mosaic ACO and St. John ACO, supported by a shared “drivetrain” of analytics, credentialing, contracting, clinical integration and incentive distribution.

Mosaic offers multiple contracting options to provide flexibility for participating providers and practices. Henry Ford Physician Network/Mosaic Physician Network will expand its contracting approaches to include additional payors, offering more ways for physicians to participate.

Dr. Keteyian closed by tying Dr. Lee’s message to Mosaic CIN’s vision: to transform care across the communities it serves and lead the nation in high-value care. He ended with a call to action for Mosaic to be an engine for social capital among providers and care teams.
