Phillip Frantzis, MD

Biographical Statement

Dr. Phillip Frantzis performs a wide variety of general surgical procedures with a special interest in breast cancer surgery. He has had additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery, which combines breast cancer surgery with plastic surgery techniques to achieve improved cosmetic results for his breast cancer patients.

Dr. Frantzis believes that a well-informed patient has a better treatment outcome and takes time to explain medical conditions and treatment options in a way that is easy to understand. Questions are encouraged. Dr Frantzis and his staff have a warm and caring attitude and strive to make patients feel at ease during the course of their treatment.

Awards & Honors

Dr. Frantzis is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons and a member of Michigan State and Jackson County Medical Societies. He has also previously served on the Jackson Health Network, Joint Advisory Committee at Allegiance Health, Quality Improvement/Utilization Review, Board of Physicians Health Plan HMO and the Special Care Committee: Institutional Review Board.
