Dr. Keteyian provides direct patient care in his specialty area of cardiac rehabilitation and preventive cardiology.

Biographical Statement:
Dr. Keteyian is the Director of Preventive Cardiology in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Henry Ford Medical Group. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physiology at Wayne State University in Detroit. He is recognized for his research that investigated the role of exercise training in the care of patients with heart failure, which includes improved health, physical function and quality of life. He continues to be involved in studies that investigate how exercise testing and training assist in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Dr. Keteyian is active in several professional organizations, including the American Heart Association and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He is past Editor-In-Chief for ACSM's Health & Fitness Journal. He is the author of more than 190 scientific articles and is co-author or editor of five text books used in higher education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. For nearly 10 years, Dr. Keteyian wrote a weekly column in the Health and Fitness section of the Detroit News newspaper.

I strive to provide every patient with compassionate and evidence-based care relative to evaluating, preventing, and treating cardiovascular diseases. I understand that the recommendations I make to improve a patient's health and well-being must be offered within the context of their own goals and interests, as well as the recommendations of other health care providers.
