About Me
Biographical Statement
Lisa Perna is an experienced, board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in addiction medicine. Lisa provides medical care in a residential care setting to those undergoing detoxication and rehabilitation from substance use and co-occurring disorders.
She became interested in helping others overcome substance use disorder because of her own personal experience. Part of her recovery is reaching out to those who struggle with similar issues sharing her experience, strength and hope.
Lisa received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. She also received advanced training as a tobacco treatment specialist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
Care Philosophy
"I believe everyone should be treated with utmost dignity and compassion. My goal is to establish a solid patient-provider relationship while providing safe and effective addiction treatment. I seek to understand the whole picture and provide proactive patient-centered holistic treatment. I want to empower my patients so they can take ownership of their recovery."
