About Me
Biographical Statement
Kelly Queen is a licensed professional counselor, certified bariatric counselor, certified advanced addictions counselor and a registered dietitian. She has been a therapist since 2000 and a dietitian since 1992. Kelly became interested in behavioral health in the 1990s while working as a registered dietitian. She quickly realized the psychological complexities when it comes to disordered eating and decided to pursue the direction of psychology in treating issues related to food, eating and weight. She is passionate about treating obesity and the many different types of disordered eating problems clients struggle with.
Kelly received her master’s degree in Counseling at Oakland University in 2000, and her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Michigan State University in 1992. She received advanced training in bariatric counseling through the American Association for Bariatric Counselors. Kelly is also a certified advanced addictions counselor through the state of Michigan.

Her clinical areas of interest include treating clients considering or preparing for bariatric surgery, as well as clients who are struggling after weight loss surgery. She also specializes in the treatment of:
