Prostate MRI Targeted Biopsy

Advanced diagnosis technique for accurate staging and treatment planning.

We know that getting a fast, accurate diagnosis is important to you and leads to better treatment outcome. Our team offers a streamlined, one-stop diagnostic process for prostate cancer, making it possible to have a prostate MRI, targeted biopsy and pathology results in less than 48 hours.

What is prostate MRI targeted biopsy?

A prostate MRI targeted biopsy uses state-of-the-art equipment to combine two advanced technologies: high-resolution pictures produced by the MRI and sophisticated computerized modeling of your prostate gland. The result: a three-dimensional color map of the prostate gland that displays any potential tumor sites and improves accuracy of the biopsy.

What are the benefits?

This minimally invasive outpatient procedure typically requires no sedation, and delivers fast, accurate results. Because it uses MRI to precisely target cancer cells, fewer biopsy samples are needed for an accurate diagnosis, which reduces the risk of infection, bleeding and pain. The recovery time is minimal.

Patients who have already had a biopsy or been diagnosed with prostate cancer may also benefit from the added precision of a prostate MRI scan. Prostate MRI can be used for more accurate staging, treatment planning and after-treatment monitoring.
