Here you can learn about our approach to precision medicine program for cancer treatment, its benefits, our providers and more.
Why choose Henry Ford Health’s precision medicine program?
Henry Ford Health's precision medicine program was the first program of its kind in Michigan. Today we continue to provide the most comprehensive precision medicine care in the state, offering genomic testing and tumor boards to every cancer patient.
We know that people with the same kind of cancer may respond differently to the same treatment. That’s because your cancer has its own “profile.”
Our commitment to innovation through precision medicine has made us pioneers in this advancement in personalized care. We are:
- The first in the world to enroll a patient in the GBM AGILE (Adaptive Global Innovative Learning Environment) Trial, aimed at identifying the most effective therapies for patients with the most aggressive form of brain cancer.
- Among a few select health systems in the country chosen to participate in All of Us, a National Institutes of Health precision medicine research program.
- Bringing a theranostics center to Detroit through our partnership with BAMF Health, which is expected to open in 2027.
- Theranostics is an approach that combines imaging and radiation treatment by delivering radioactive drugs called radiopharmaceuticals, which contain agents to find and treat cancer cells throughout the body. Commonly targeted cancers include prostate cancer (using Pluvicto) and neuroendocrine tumors (using Lutathera).
