The senior Healthy Living program welcomes Dr. Arfaat Khan for this virtual presentation on atrial fibrillation. Dr. Khan is an electrophysiologist with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. 

Atrial Fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia in the world. In this virtual session, you will learn if you are at risk for the development of atrial fibrillation and what the warning signs or symptoms are of atrial fibrillation. The virtual discussion will also include a review of the treatment of modifiable risk factors such as sleep apnea and weight management.

We will also discuss treatment options for atrial fibrillation, including the need for blood thinners to prevent a stroke and other therapies available including procedures such as cardioversion or ablation
