Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Development Priorities

At Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, we embrace innovation and curiosity and are dedicated to the full picture of wellness. Our extraordinary care model puts every patient at the center of world-class treatment, working closely together to ensure seamless care in an environment that inspires confidence and hope. Our doctors are the best and brightest in their fields, including senior services and cancer care, pioneering groundbreaking new treatments in the lab while offering compassionate, caring service at their patients’ bedsides.

Please contact Klementina Sula (248-325-0832) or Luke Sparkman (248-325-0269) to learn more about how you can help to advance the mission of Henry Ford West Bloomfield and support our patients, community and more. If you would like to make a donation online, please use our online giving form.

Donor Impact

  • Suffering from lymphedema, Susan Brownell traveled the world to find solutions for her disease. Hoping to bring treatment closer to home for herself and for others, she and husband Carl Messer made a significant gift to launch a lymphedema program at our hospital, allowing physicians and leaders to receive important training to advance world-class lymphedema care.
  • Building a path behind our hospital has long been a goal of our leadership team, one we achieved in 2017 thanks to a foundational gift by Herman Frankel and additional support through our Employee and Physician Giving Campaign. Today, our Path to Wellness invites patients, employees and the public to take a walk to enjoy the sunshine or improve their health.
  • Safe Landings is a Henry Ford at Home program designed to reduce hospital readmissions while providing patients with support and resources at home as they manage their chronic conditions. In 2017, Dawn Treloar generously donated the funds needed to establish Safe Landings for seniors in our community — serving more than 200 people in its first full year.

Current Priorities

We are dedicated to working with donors and community members to transform healthcare in the area that we serve. Our goal is to connect you to opportunities at West Bloomfield that are meaningful to you.

Cancer

Today, almost everyone knows someone who has been impacted by cancer. The Henry Ford Cancer Institute is creating more hope for patients in our communities through a unified team of cancer specialists practicing on the leading edge, from precision medicine to MRI-guided radiation therapy. Philanthropic support enables us to continue to expand our one-of-a-kind cancer treatments, innovation and the building of the world-class Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion in Detroit.

Cardiology

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and our Cardiology department is dedicated to being there for our community when we are needed most. Your generosity helps our hospital provide the very best in heart care, including innovative treatments, leading-edge technology and more so that our patients can get back to what matters most—life.

Behavioral Health

Henry Ford West Bloomfield works toward breaking down the stigmas surrounding behavioral health and the need for treatment, striving to treat the whole patient—including their psychological needs. One place we are innovating in this realm is in the pediatrician’s office, ensuring that psychologists are accessible when evaluating teenagers to address the rise in youth suicide. At the Henry Ford Maplegrove Center, we offer world-class treatments for a variety of issues, revolutionizing how behavioral health and addiction are seen by society and how they are treated. Philanthropic investments will allow us to advance our work in this important area.
