For Hospitalist Applicants
The Henry Ford Medical Group's Division of Hospital Medicine continues to grow within the Henry Ford Health System across southeast Michigan. The Henry Ford Medical Group, one of the largest multispecialty group practices in the country, continues to seek highly qualified applicants to serve as Senior Staff Hospitalists dedicated to the care of inpatients. The Division of Hospital Medicine consists of over 40 experienced clinicians who provide inpatient care in a variety of areas:
- Observation
- Medical Consultation
- Advanced Heart Failure/Structural Heart Disease
- Inpatient General Medicine
- Perioperative Care/Co-Management
- Telemetry
- Clinical Education
Our Division offers flexibility in scheduling, an academic environment with one of the country's leading medical group practices, and opportunities in patient care, research, teaching, and leadership. Among the largest in the country, our division cares for patients at our Detroit Campus as well as expanding regional practices in our community suburban hospitals in West Bloomfield, and Wyandotte. Clinical responsibilities are based on a shift schedule with several different flexible schedule options (Day, Night, and Day/Night Hybrid) available. Most clinical services are non-teaching/non-resident; however, teaching opportunities with residents and students are available.
We seek motivated physicians who are dedicated to high quality care as well as maintaining exceptional patient satisfaction. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential. Hospitalist candidates must have a willingness to work in a collaborative environment with other healthcare providers and staff of other specialties. In addition, candidates should have an interest in quality improvement activities vital to advancing our inpatient care priorities. Previous experience as a hospitalist or chief resident is desirable. Candidates seeking a position as a career hospitalist are preferred. Individuals seeking nocturnist positions are strongly encouraged to apply.
Generous group practice benefits are provided including: vacation, CME time/allowance, insurance (life/disability/malpractice), and retirement package. Compensation consists of annual base salary negotiable based on previous experience, with additional compensation through modest incentives and moonlighting. We do accept H1 visa holders, but this is not a J1 waiver opportunity.
