Donations

While our Division continues to obtain government and public sources of funding for our education and research activities, these sources are continually declining, and the role of private funding sources has become increasingly critical to us. We would not be able to do all that we do without the generosity of others who support our mission for advancing clinical care, research, and education. Our staff is grateful for the many charitable gifts that benefit our programs and our patients.

Charitable gift areas

Areas for ongoing support include the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Education and Research Fund and the Dr. Cynthia D. Ray Patient Rescue Fund.

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Education and Research Fund

This fund provides funding for staff and fellows to pursue professional, academic and leadership development, participate in continuing medical education, purchase research equipment, support research studies for clinician-investigators and provide resources to pursue global health initiatives.

The Dr. Cynthia D. Ray Patient Rescue Fund

Established in memory of Dr. Ray, a national leader in interventional pulmonology who tragically lost her life as a Good Samaritan tending to others at an auto accident. The fund provides patients with financial help for transportation, meals, medications and incidentals that might not otherwise be available through insurance or personal resources
