The Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (HFMH) General Surgery Program is a five-year curriculum of graded responsibility progressing to complete and definitive care of the general surgical patient.

The HFMH General Surgery Residency Program curriculum has been constructed around the requirements set forth in the ACGME. Every resident will be scheduled for required rotations at HFMH Clinton Township, Henry Ford Hospital, Sinai-Grace Hospital, Beaumont Hospitals, Hurley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital for Cancer New York, Ascension/Crittenton Hospital and The Children's Medical Center of Dayton. The program includes mandatory rotations as well as a variety of elective rotations on services under the direction of the Departments of General Surgery. Recognizing that residents have varied backgrounds and goals, the program includes opportunity for approved out-rotation elective experiences as well
