FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Detroit – Henry Ford Health System has appointed a new manager of state and federal government affairs. Elizabeth Kutter, J.D., joined the system earlier this month and is based in Lansing.

Kutter comes to Henry Ford from the Michigan House Republican Policy Office, where she worked for the last two and a half years. She focused on a variety of areas including Health Policy and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Budget, Michigan State Police, Military and Veterans Affairs, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation, Oversight and Ethics, Financial Services, Natural Resources, Higher Education and Community Colleges. Previously, Kutter worked on staff for State Sen. Jason Allen in the Michigan Legislature until Allen completed his final term.

“That’s just one of the many reasons we’re so glad Elizabeth is part of our team,” said Marc R. Corriveau, J.D., M.H.S.A., vice president, corporate government affairs, Henry Ford Health System. “When you combine her experience in so many areas with a passion for healthcare policy, it leads to a really well-rounded and informed voice for Henry Ford.”

Kutter received her law degree in 2013 from the Michigan State University College of Law. She also holds a B.A. in political science from Michigan State University and is currently completing a fellowship through the University of Michigan’s Center for Health Care Research and Transformation (CHRT).

“I’m excited to start this new endeavor with Henry Ford,” Kutter said. “I have a true passion for Michigan and our unique communities and I’m grateful for the opportunity to advocate for the people we serve.”

Kutter was born and raised in southeast Michigan.
